“Yuzu no Manma” is a long-selling product that has been well received since its birth in 2005.
This sweet and sour stick-type confectionery is made with Kyushu-produced yuzu peel and is unflavored and uncolored.

The founder, Kiyoshi Fujii, took notice of "Yuzu", a specialty of Kyushu, and wondered if he could develop a product. However, at that time, most of the processed yuzu products used the pulp and juice, and the skin was just thrown away. “Yuzu no Manma” was born after trial and error to find a way to reuse the skin.

The Suki district is a mountainous area in Miyazaki surrounded by the Kirishima mountain range and the Kyushu mountains. Yuzu grows fragrant and juicy due to the temperature difference between day and night and long hours of sunlight.

Some of the yuzu trees that grow on the slopes are over 50 years old. A fresh yuzu that wears on that treeEvery year, they are carefully harvested using special long sticks.The yuzu that is transported from the collection point to the yuzu manma factory is thoroughly washed and separated into juice and peel. Each one is carefully sorted, and after a mind-boggling manual process of removing excess by hand, the perfect yuzu is completed.
